Chicken Biryani Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 Kg Chicken
- 2 cups rice (washed, soaked for 30 minutes)
- 2 onions (chopped, large size)
- 1.5 table spoon ginger garlic paste
- 2 tablespoon salt (for rice) + 1 table spoon for chicken
- 1 tablespoon Paprika/ red chilli
- 2 tomato (chopped)
- 1 table spoon dried coriander
- 2 whole cloves
- 2 whole black cardamoms
- 1 teaspoon zeera powder
- 1 medium stick cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 green chilli (medium size)
- 1/2 cup oil
Preparation:
Step 1: Pour Oil into frying pan and put onion after oil gets warm. When it becomes a bit brown add ginger garlic paste and salt. After sometime add tomato and other spices: red chilli, turmeric powder, black pepper,cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and dried coriander.
Step 2: Stir them and once the oil becomes separate, add chicken pieces. Cook this for 5 minutes, then add green chilli and half cup water then cover the lid. Allow the chicken to cook properly for about 10 minutes.
Step 3: In a separate deep pot, boil the rice and put them aside. When chicken is ready, Take a large deep pot, put 2 table spoon oil in it. Make a layer of rice then a layer of cooked chicken gravy, then another layer of rice and a layer of chicken gravy.
Step 4: Now cover the lid of pot make it air tight and put it on low flame for about 3 minutes. Now open the lid and fluff rice a bit. Sprinkle red chilli flakes and coriander leaves of top and serve it in the dish.
