Surkh Lobia Daal (Raajma) Recipe

 

  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup Surkh Lobia Daal 
  • 1 onions (sliced)
  • 1 tea spoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tomato (chopped)
  • 1/2 tea spoon garam masala (SEE garam masala recipe)
  • 1 tea spoon salt
  • 1/2 tea spoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika powder/ red chilli
  • 2 green chilli
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • A handful of coriander

Surkh Lobia Daal (Raajma) Recipe, Red Beans Gravy



  • Preparation:

    1. Step 1: Boil 2 cups water in a pot and soak surkh lobia in boiled water for 15 minutes. 

    2. Step 2:  In a pressure cooker add 4 cups water, sliced onion, ginger garlic paste, tomato, green chili and all the spices in it (including garam masala). 

    3. Step 3: When the pressure cooker whistles, let the daal cook for 30 minutes. Now add oil and cook daal till the gravy gets dense.

    4. Step 4: When the oil becomes separate, the daal is ready. Sprinkle coriander and serve it in the dish.
