Surkh Lobia Daal (Raajma) Recipe
- Ingredients
- 1 cup Surkh Lobia Daal
- 1 onions (sliced)
- 1 tea spoon ginger garlic paste
- 1 tomato (chopped)
- 1/2 tea spoon garam masala (SEE garam masala recipe)
- 1 tea spoon salt
- 1/2 tea spoon coriander powder
- 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika powder/ red chilli
- 2 green chilli
- 1/3 cup oil
- A handful of coriander
Preparation:
Step 1: Boil 2 cups water in a pot and soak surkh lobia in boiled water for 15 minutes.
Step 2: In a pressure cooker add 4 cups water, sliced onion, ginger garlic paste, tomato, green chili and all the spices in it (including garam masala).
Step 3: When the pressure cooker whistles, let the daal cook for 30 minutes. Now add oil and cook daal till the gravy gets dense.
Step 4: When the oil becomes separate, the daal is ready. Sprinkle coriander and serve it in the dish.
